Source abstract
A prepubertal patient presented with vaginal bleeding and a 2 cm introital tumor, initially suspected as a polyp or neoplasm. Preoperative MRI confirmed cervical origin, and 26Fr bipolar electrocautery enabled complete resection with minimal bleeding (5 mL) in 30 minutes. Pathology revealed embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (botryoid variant). Post-surgery, hymen integrity was preserved, and adjuvant therapy led to complete remission. This case highlights vaginoscopy's advantages-minimal invasiveness, precision, and functional preservation-for diagnosing and treating vaginal tumors, bleeding, or foreign bodies in young females, warranting further study.
