Source abstract
The major cause of sickness and mortality in affluent nations is cancer. Cancer cases are rapidly outpacing infectious illness burdens in emerging nations. No age group is resistant to cancer. Children as young as six months and seniors as old as 95 are contracting cancer. What's surprising is that young individuals and those not exposed to viruses or tobacco are also getting cancer. Mutations and chromosomal instability have a crucial impact. An intriguing academic debate will center on the function of the epigenetic landscape in cancer cells compared to normal cells, leading to the start of cancer and development (including the cancer stem cell concept), and the possible application of this information in the creation of more effective therapies. Important aspects of carcinogenesis that must be fully addressed include stem cells and epigenetics, which hold the key to therapeutic response, chemoresistance, and carcinogenesis in cancer.
